ScriptWorks Seed Support for Wild Places
Super happy to announce that I've been given this quarter's Seed Support grant from Austin-based service organization ScriptWorks to help develop Wild Places. I've been a Scriptworks member for about three and half years now, and I'm so grateful so their support. It's incredible to have this resource locally. They support new plays financially and also by giving opportunities for development through programs like their salon and the FronteraFest Fringe Festival.
You can apply for Seed Support grants on a quarterly basis. Here's what they say about the grants:
It takes more than love to nurture words into plays. ScriptWorks provides Seed Support (up to $500) as well as administrative assistance to members on an project-by-project, writer-initiated basis. Seed Support also gives writers the tools to raise funds using SW’s non-profit status. Seed Support projects can fund a wide range of activities including: development, travel, research, workshops – anything a writer needs to directly fulfill our mission and their individual visions.
