Hello from Creede
I've been up in Creede, CO, this week at the National Winter Playwrights Retreat. It's been such a breath of (very high mountain) air to get away to this tiny town and work on my new play, Gutting. I'm so impressed with the other writers here this week— Benjamin Weiner, Alex Rubin, Leslie Dillen, Heidi Kraay, Tom Coash, Amanda Bermudez. It feels like the best kind of summer (winter) camp with all of us cooking together and playing songs and drinking wine. Ann Pittman and Manuel Zarate have built a really lovely retreat. I feel lucky to be here, and so recommend it to other writers looking for a winter getaway.
