I’m Joanna, a creativity expert and immersive experience designer.
I share insights, inspiration, and practical tools from nearly two decades in the theater, film, and immersive industries, woven with deep experience and exploration into the worlds of embodiment and spirituality.
In 2023, I walked away from what I thought was a dream job at large-scale immersive art company, Meow Wolf.
For six+ years, I led Meow Wolf’s story development for explorable worlds like Omega Mart, as well as crafting the larger story universe. I have a lot to share about building creative teams, designing story experiences, and collaborating on impossible projects.
But even the most creative companies can lose sight of what artists and creative employees actually need in order to innovate, envision, and build groundbreaking media and live experiences.
The reality is that creativity is supercharged by welcoming the full body into the creative process.
That wasn’t always easy for me. For most of my life, I struggled with a debilitating panic disorder, which I tried to manage by fiercely controlling my mind and body.
I’ve found wild creative freedom by learning to actually listen to my body and to work WITH it to create. I can’t wait to share my story and life-changing tools with you and your teams.
